Alicia Blanton, PT, DPT


Dr. Alicia Blanton graduated from Georgia State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Who’s Who Among Students award. She became interested in physical therapy from observing her father in inpatient rehab after suffering a cerebellar stroke. 


Dr. Blanton earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from University of St. Augustine in Miami, FL in 2020. During her doctoral studies, she gained experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient orthopedics.


She currently works for Team Rehabilitation and is a part of the National Association of Black Physical Therapists (NABPT). She is also a part of the GIFT Fellowship with the Gray Institute. Her continuing education includes: Dry Needling, Fascial Manipulation, Spinal Manipulation, Certification in Blood Flow Restriction Training, and others.


In her spare time she enjoys volunteering, playing drums, being outdoors, socializing with friends, and spending time with family.
